Laura has comprehensive experience and represents clients in a broad range of family law matters, including high-conflict custody and access disputes, division of property issues, financial support, domestic contracts, divorce, mobility/relocation cases and international family law.
Laura carefully assesses with each client the most appropriate and cost-effective options and process(es) for the successful resolution of their matter.
Laura is experienced in assisting clients resolve their matters through a variety of means, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes such as negotiation, mediation/arbitration and parenting coordination.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and a Juris Doctor law degree from the University of Windsor. During law school, Laura served as a judicial clerk in the family court division of the Ontario Court of Justice and gained valuable insight into the process of judicial decision-making.
Laura has practiced exclusively in family law since her call to the Ontario Bar in 2013. Prior to founding Tenk Tatum LLP with Andrea Tenk, Laura practiced as an associate in the family law department at a full-service law firm in Kitchener, Ontario.
Laura is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Halton Law Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
